SUNSAIL ENDORSES SECURED MARINE TRUST ONEtoolSM
OVER OTHER DATA MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
The new ONEtool online management system, offered by Secured Marine Trust (SMT), has solved logistical and software problems for Sunsail’s brokers, said Scott Woodruff, regional sales manager for Sunsail’s British Virgin Islands division.
Sunsail (www.sunsail.com), headquartered in England, offers a wide choice of water-based vacations with nearly 1,000 yachts in 30 locations worldwide, ASA sailing schools, seven watersports beach resorts in the Mediterranean, plus the Colonna Sailing Resort in the Caribbean.
According to Woodruff, Sunsail brokers had managed sales transactions using an array of disparate systems, including Yacht Broker, Excel, Access and Outlook. After a six-month trial period, the SMT ONEtool system was adopted by Sunsail to coordinate and streamlined the process worldwide.
“We do several hundred yacht sales per year, and we had no real system in place before this,” Woodruff said. “All the brokers were working on their own. Now, one central manager can monitor each broker transaction at any stage. ONEtool provides two real advantages for us – secured company data that’s in one centralized place, and accessibility from all our offices.”
ONEtool, a Web-based software system, enables Sunsail’s professional yacht brokers and dealers to “work in real time,” said Woodruff, by streamlining and managing their transactions. The system is fully endorsed by the Yacht Brokers Association of America (YBAA).
Woodruff is also pleased that ONEtool can accommodate different currencies, including British Pounds Sterling, the Euro, and others. “The software systems allows for the non-American client. That’s very important to us.
“ONEtool is solving many of our software needs,” said Woodruff.
