SAILAWAY, LLC PARTNERS WITH ONEtoolSM AS IT READIES FOR GROWTH IN NEW YEAR
Consolidation with one software program is key for Beth and Doug Wright, owners of Sailaway, LLC, a full-service brokerage for pre-owned power and sail boats based in Bridgeport, Conn. Their new ONEtool software, provided by Secured Marine Trust (SMT) in New Haven, allows the Wrights to bring together all the forms and data they need to complete yacht brokerage transactions.
“We’re a relatively small company, but we’re planning to expand in 2006,” said Beth Wright. “Increasingly, we need to see all our inventory data and forms in one place. ONEtool allows us to do that.”
In addition to providing yacht delivery, Sailaway, located in Bridgeport’s Captain’s Cove Seaport in Black Rock Harbor, connects its customers with insurance providers, financers, and surveyor companies.
Beginning this year, Sailaway will offer day charters with a licensed USCG Master Captain, plus bareboat rentals and private and group sailing lessons. A kids’ program will offer sailing excursions with ASA certified instructors.
“Using ONEtool, I insert all my information such as size of boat, description, and specific client needs and budget. The software presents all that information for me in one display.”
Wright also applauds what she calls “fabulous customer support” from SMT’s staff. “I’ve asked for a few modifications in logo placement and font size on our forms, and they’ve been responsive. Those modifications have been a real time saver for me; I haven’t had to create new forms.”
Most importantly, ONEtool provides Sailaway with the foundation it needs to expand its operations this year. “My goal was to put a system in place that’s user friendly for our expansion. We also require great customer service, which they provide, and a web site that’s easy to use.”
