AUTHENTIC YACHTS ACHIEVES MEASURABLE RESULTS FROM SECURED MARINE TRUST ONEtoolSM
Authentic Yachts, Inc., a licensed boat dealer based in Annapolis, Md., adopted Secure Marine Trust’s (SMT) ONEtool online management system in November 2005. Authentic Yachts specializes in trawlers, bluewater cruisers, liveaboard yachts, downeasters, sportfishers and Bay boats. Its brokers also work closely with racers on Chesapeake Bay.
Doug Coupar, owner and general manager of Authentic Yachts, has seen measurable results using the ONEtool system, which SMT launched in early 2005. ONEtool, a web-based software system, enables professional yacht brokers and dealers to streamline and manage yacht sales and marketing transactions. The system is fully endorsed by the Yacht Brokers Association of America (YBAA).
Said Coupar, “I see real improvements daily. My brokers can focus on multiple deals simultaneously, and stay on top of each transaction. That’s the most important benefit for us. With ONEtool, we bring a lot of information, such as state and federal forms, financing and insurance, together under one roof.”
ONEtool’s sophisticated programs display data visually, allowing Coupar and his team to better track each transaction. Just since November, Authentic Yachts’ clients are already noticing the difference in customer service. “We’re able to produce contracts and other needed documents on the spot. That’s impressive for our clients to see,” said Coupar.
Coupar also appreciates SMT’s hands-on training and personal advice for Authentic Yachts’ brokers. “Our brokers have a variety of different backgrounds and skill sets,” he said. “SMT's team works closely with each of them. Their availability was a big selling point for us. I feel we will have a long, prosperous relationship with SMT.”
